How to Run a Kids Birthday Party

First thing to do when organising your kids birthday party is to involve your child. After all the party will be celebrating their birthday, so to avoid any upset ask your child what they want, and try to involve them as much as possible. This will help to keep them excited and interested within their birthday party throughout the planning and the actual big day.

You now need to decide upon where you will hold your kids birthday party. Hiring a venue can be expensive, so if you have the room it may be a good idea to keep the party at your home. Make sure you remove anything that can be broken on the day. If you don’t have the space at home but still want to keep costs down look into the idea of holding the party at a village hall or local fast food restaurant. Both these venues should be able to cater for your party at a reasonable price.

After your venue is sorted ask your child if they would a themed birthday party. Popular themes can include themes like pirates, princesses and fairies, and football parties. Having a themed party can make the planning of your party easier as you will just need to plan everything around the theme. If your child chooses to have a themed birthday party it’s a good idea to plan the party games around your theme, and be sure to get some cheap kids party toys as the prizes.

After the kids have played party games and you have run out of kids party toys to give to them as winning prizes its time for them to settle down to some party food. Don’t go mad on the party food as kids are generally happy with a few sandwiches, crisps, and some cakes, and drink. After the kids have finished their party food its time to for them to sing happy birthday and be collected to go home (phew).

When the kids go home its important to give them a party bag to go home with. This is like their own little present to say thank you for coming. A great party bag will include a piece of cake, some kids party toys and a couple of sweets. Every child likes to take home a party bag so they can enjoy their sweets play with their kids party toys and remember the party they went to that day.
