My daughter LOVES this "big girl stool." She quickly goes to the tower and can climb up on it herself without fear of falling once she is up.She loves helping with meals and watching when we prepare her and family meals.

Pros: -So much fun! We've only had it for two days and my 21 month old is constantly climbing into it. She loves being up high and seeing what's going on. So far we've made muffins, used the counter to eat breakfast off of, and bathed her newborn baby brother on the island together. The first day she spent about 3 hours in it! -Your kid isn't under foot when you're trying to get stuff done in the kitchen, especially dangerous things like opening the oven door and unloading breakable/sharp items from the dishwasher. -Because my daughter likes hanging out in it and can see, she's not fussing while I'm trying to work in the kitchen. She used to follow me around with her arms in the air crying "up. up. up." and now she just climbs into the tower. Of course it's great to include your kid in whatever activity you're doing since it is the "learning" tower, but sometimes you just need to get the job done and this allows you to do so. I can accomplish so much now while she's happily playing in it. -Good, sturdy, material -The child won't outgrow it for many years -Looks nice in the kitchenCons: -Expensive -My daughter can push it around the kitchen and therefore reach surfaces I'd rather her stay away from. We're going to try putting felt or rubber on the bottom and see if that helps. -Takes a little practice learning how to get in and out of. My daughter has gotten out on her own a few times, but usually yells for help. She does great getting in, but one time when we had the platform lower she did a face plant and busted her lip. She bends forward onto the platform and just throws her whole body onto it. I'm sure she'll have it figured out in a couple days though. -Other reviews state that the feet stick out and can be a tripping hazard. According to the manufacturer's website those feet are optional. We left them off and it seems plenty sturdy.

great for our active twins

we got the learning tower to use with our 20 month old twins. we use it for them to wash their hands in the kitchen sink after playing outside. they love climbing up and down and it is sturdy enough for us to feel safe letting them use it together. the tower comes with a 'blanket' that I drape over the top when not in use. the twins know that when the blanket is on the tower it is closed and they may not climb on it.

Just bought it.....so far so great.

My husband and I just put this together for our 19 month old son who is forever wanting to see what is happening above his eye-level in the kitchen. We are both impressed with the sturdy construction and ease of assembly. Prior to buying, I also researched the Kitchen Helper as I did have concerns about the Learning Tower's size and portability based on other reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Learning Tower is actually very reasonably sized for something that can accomodate 2 children and up to 500 lbs. We have what I would describe as a medium sized kitchen with a large center island with countertops/cabinets on both sides of the island. Pushed up to the island or other countertops, there is plenty of room for an adult to manuever around the tower. I do agree that is not easy to pick the tower up and move it around. However, we have wood floors in the kitchen and play room and adding linear felt protector strips to the feet of the tower allows us to just push it around the house. We also bought the art easel attachment (which we have already added to the tower) and the playhouse kit to go with it. Again, I'm very impressed with the versatility of the art easel (dry erase board on one side and chalk board on the other) and how easily it mounts to the tower. I also like that the easel comes with a wall mount that allows you to hang the it independently of the tower either for storage or for use. We haven't received the playhouse kit, yet, so I'm unable to provide feedback about that item. Overall, the tower is well-designed, appears sturdy and safe, and its multifunctionality can't be beat by other similar products. We anticipate getting a lot of use out of it for several years.

Leaves things to be desired...but there's nothing else out there!

I bought this only a couple of months ago, and although it's proven to be a life saver as far as it keeps my daughter safely entertained while I make dinner, it also has quickly shown it's flaws. First, she "washes the dishes" a lot while standing in the Tower, and it's already showing water damage even though it's not getting all that wet. The wood is splitting and drying out. I got the Natural one, and it does have a finish to it, but it's not enough I guess. I feel it's way too soon to show damage.Second, the spaces on the long sides are unnecessary and a little misleading. My 2 year old daughter isn't always aware that there's an opening on the side and sometimes, while sitting, appears as though she might lean back into the non-existent 'wall' there...and fall out! (The bar above gives a sense that's it's an entire wall.)Third, the feet on the base stick out pretty far and I stub my toes on them ALL OF THE TIME!I also wish it went one click taller, for the little ones.All in all it's been a great thing to have, but that's also because there is nothing else out there like it. It's much safer than the little kiddos just standing on a chair, but not the best (see above). It is sturdy though. Also, the company's return policy isn't that great (re-stocking fee, etc.), so call them beforehand for details, and be sure you want it!

Finally found what I was looking for!

My son has cerebral palsy (blanket term for brain injury.) He'll be five soon and is just learning to walk. In order to strengthen his core for walking he needs to spend time knee standing. I've been looking for a long time for an easel that is super stable so that if he were to accidentally lean forward on it while on his knees (he loses his balance a lot) it wouldn't tip over. This easel fits the bill perfectly! The added bonus is that it doesn't take up any more space in my house because we already own The Learning Tower! I was worried about having to use tape to get paper to stay up but it comes with a really strong, long magnet that holds large sheets of paper up perfectly! My other two children (ages two and seven) love this easel as well! I highly recommend the Little Partners Art Easel.

I have two year old twins and they love this. They love drawing on the chalkboard and dry erase side. As a bonus the dry erase markers have come off the wood so far when they've enthusiastically colored on more than just the board part. That was a pleasant surprise. Good size for them. Nothing bad to say about this product.

My hubby and I decided to splurge on the easel. We figure we were going to buy one anyway, why not just get the one that comes with the tower? We are so gald we did! This is a quality chalkboard that works perfectly right out of the box- no 'seasoning' and sillyness like I have seen with others. Even the cheap chalk shows up well! Our little girl is very short, and she can reach it to draw. We have the chalkboard side out, and we placed a cup of Crayola pip squeek markers on the tower platform. When she gets tired of helping moma in the kitchen, she sits down and draws. It is nice that she can still use both sides of the easel. Is comes with a VERY STROMG magnet that sticks to both sides to hold paper. I have not tried it yet, but I can't imagine the paper could possibly slip out! It also came with a kit to hang it on the wall later on- bonus! My only complaint would be that it did not come with cups to go in the holes. I did find that the little metal pails in the cheapie section at Target fit well, but could not find a color that looked decent. I would buy this again in a heartbeat!

Best Space Saver and overall play toy.

I purchased the art easel for my 2 yr old and she LOVES IT! We put the whiteboard side out and she uses the crayola washable pip squeaks markers on it and they work great. I just use a baby wipe to clean everything, her, the easel and markers off of our wood floor. It also did not take up any extra space in our house since it fits on the learning tower we already had. I definitely did not want to take up more floor space with an art easel.

I gave this easel Little Partners Natural Art Easel, along with dry eraser markers, to my granddaugher for Christmas this year. She LOVES IT! Now her "learning tower" Little Partners LP00401 Learning Tower, Natural includes opportunities to draw, write, and create in the kitchen with Mommy. What a great idea to further the versatility of learning tower! A dress fit for the goddess you are

As a yoga instructor, I encourage all my students to love and celebrate their bodies in all their uniqueness. One of the most enjoyable ways to celebrate being a body, I think, is to adorn yourself in clothes that make you feel both beautiful and comfortable - clothes that are exciting *and* liberating. KD does such an amazing job of creating these kinds of clothes, and I've been meaning to comment on this sweater dress in particular for a while, as my husband gave it to me as a Christmas present. It is one of the most sensual and versatile garments I own: I've worn it over skinny jeans with boots in the cooler temps, and have worn it either with KD's low-rise tights or with bare legs to cocktail parties. If I'm going to wear it by itself, I either do a full-body slip underneath, or a camisole top with some Spanx on the bottom. The fabric of the dress is thinner than you might expect, but because it's made to move and breathe, its delicacy is part of what I love about it, and what feels so good about wearing it. I think there's something really sexy about being able to see a woman's classy under-layers beneath the mesh of her dress - it makes an unforgettable fashion statement. I also have found that I can keep wearing this straight into the warmer weather, *because* it's so breathable and I'm usually inside in a/c anyway. I can't recommend this dress enough - and several of my students, with really different body types, have bought it and worn it beautifully.

Understand this for what it is

This is a nice garment. The colors are fantastic. But remember that this really is dance wear, it is made for ease of movement. The fabric is light weight and too see-thru by its self. As a layer, over a leotard, it works well.

Lots of Fun - Not as Versatile as I hoped

We purchased the Learning Tower for our 2 year old's birthday. We got this kit to go with it. She loves playing with this kit and her puppets and dolls. I'm sure she will use it more as she gets older. The only issue I have with it is that you cannot use this kit if you have the art easel installed on the side of the tower. We have to remove one in order for the other to be installed. Our little one loves the easel, so most of the time, this kit sits on the floor taking up space. Had I realized they could not be used simultaneously, I would have waited to purchase this kit until later.

Awful Design, Awful Construction, Disappointing Compared to Learning Tower

This kit was a total disappointment. I'd give it no stars if Amazon let me. We love our Learning Tower, and were very pleased with its construction, and expected a similar quality product in the playhouse expansion. We had high hopes for the playhouse kit because my two toddlers love to climb around the tower even when we aren't cooking. Instead it is poorly designed, poorly constructed junk. We even received a replacement kit after I complained to the mfg about the poor construction. The replacement was no better.The wooden support blocks are awful. Neither set fit. I, too, am a handy former engineer turned Mom, and had a really hard time putting it together. In the end, we used a nail file to widen the slots a tiny bit so the roof panels would slide in snugly without the appliques getting torn up. Even once I got everything assembled, the roof panels don't stay on well because the grooves are pretty shallow and the peak of the roof is just a shallow slotted piece too. I can think of so many better ways to assemble & attach roof panels - it's such a shame the designers didn't think of a single one of them. I'm not even going to let my two year old try it out because she'll just knock them off the support blocks and they'll fall onto her head. Not my vision of a great gift-receiving experience for her.Secondly, the curtains are junk. The first set we got had unevenly sewn velcro tabs that made them hang a little funny, but they at least stayed together. The second set started coming apart at the rod pocket seam as soon as I slipped them onto the rod. They're not the nice-hanging, long, pretty curtains with cute polka dot tiebacks shown either. They're cheap, see-through stiff material that doesn't gather well at all with their plain red tiebacks and they're barely long enough to cover the opening.All things considered, I'm going to try to return this item even though I've already bought a set of puppets to accompany it for Christmas. Fortunately, I still have plenty of time to find something else to go with the puppets this Christmas.

Easily broken but kids like it

One of the wooden blocks broke when I was putting this together. Like the first reviewer, the block broke because the slot was just a bit too tight. Very disappointing.That said, the kids really like the product concept. If the Learning Tower folks could work out this glitch they'd have a great little product on their hands. (Hence the two star rating rather than a one star rating.)I'm trying to reach the distributor for this product to get replacement parts. If they come through, I will update this review.

Poor design, cumbersome, broke easily, could be dangerous

Couldn't find any reviews on this kit before buying. Thought we'd give it a try since the learning tower itself was rated so highly.I have an engineering background so I'm fairly handy. Instructions were easy to figure out. However, poor design.The roof, curtain rod and sign are supported by little wooden blocks with grooves in them. These have to be pushed onto the top of the tower. It's not so easy to make them fit. ONE WAS SO TIGHT THAT THE WOODEN BLOCK CRACKED (I was as gentle as I could be). It would then fit onto the tower but not hold the sign.The two roof pieces slide into a long piece of wood with grooves at the top. This isn't stable and quickly fell apart the first time the roof was bumped (with the panels then falling down on top of the kids). When the panels fell, they cracked the wooden support blocks as they pulled out of the grooves.Summary: all very cumbersome; not something I'd want to struggle with over and over as we shifted from using it to play or as a stool in the kitchen.Will update review once we write to the company (not worth returning to JoeMuscle as shipping charges would match the refund we might get).
