Wall-E Cupcakes: Quick And Easy Party Treats
Cupcakes make a great party food and if your child is a fan of Wall-E, cupcakes can be the perfect way to make that birthday party special. A Wall-E birthday party is a nice simple one to do, with plenty of construction colors. There are even sets of Wall-E food coloring so you can get the yellows and reds right.
There are a few ways to do Wall-E cupcakes.
Wall-E icing decorations. These are so simple, and yet very appealing to children. You simply buy the icing decorations in the shape of Wall-E and Eve. Then bake up a simple cupcake recipe (you can use a cake mix for really quick and easy cupcakes) and ice them in chocolate icing. Top with the decorations and you're good to go.
Wall-E cake toppers. You can get picks that are decorated with Wall-E and other characters from the movie. These literally stick right into the cupcakes and you have instantly decorated treats with a take home toy. Try icing the cupcakes in white or yellow.
Wall-E designs. Try printable icing sheets. You can ask for them with a range of smaller, round designs which can be trimmed and placed on the cupcakes. Or, if you are able to copy, you can ice the cupcake in white, then use chocolate icing to pipe the designs on, using a screenshot as a reference.
Mural Wall-E. Place all the cupcakes together on a board and then ice them to form a larger, pixilated image of Wall-E that can easily be broken apart to hand out the individual cakes. Kids will love this version of a birthday cake!
These cupcakes can be displayed on a plate, or you can invest in a cupcake tier, which lets you place the cakes on several levels. Chances are they will be gone pretty fast, so make sure you have enough for everyone to have at least a couple. Your kids can always eat any leftovers, or send children home with them.
What kid wouldn't love a Wall-E birthday party? With cupcakes, you eliminate the need for a big cake and it is easier to divvy up the treats. For small children, cupcakes are particularly good because they can handle them without too much crumbling and the portions are always "fair".
